I am humbled, privileged, and blessed beyond measure by the Lord’s call on my life as an evangelist and author called to preach, proclaim, and publish in writing and aloud the Gospel of Jesus Christ wherever and whenever He sends me. With the heart of an evangelist and with a burning and uncontrollable passion to preach the Gospel message and to help people to become and remain forever faithful followers of the Lord Jesus Christ by encouraging them to study God’s Word and apply it to their lives, I am thrilled whenever He sends me out whether it be to share the Gospel with one little lost sheep, hand out my Gospel tracts and devotionals and books, minister to someone in need, preach to a group of people, whatever, wherever, however, whenever He desires.
Many years ago, raw, untrained, untaught, without any plan, intention, agenda, something total shocking began to happen. Despite not believing in God as a child raised in a Jewish family that didn’t believe in God, and despite neglecting my childhood dog, and not having been a dog lover in the least, I started rescuing dogs, rehabilitating them, and re-homing them. But this wasn’t the greatest shock. Totally raw, totally untrained, totally untaught, without any plan, intention, agenda, something unbelievable began to happen. I would show up in people’s yards and houses with every intention of rescuing a dog in need – and find myself gushing at the mouth uncontrollably with talk of the Lord Jesus Christ! Little did I know God would ultimately call me as an evangelist, and that sharing the Lord Jesus Christ and how to live a live devoted utterly to God wasn’t something anyone would ever need to tell me to do. It was, and is, as natural to me as taking my very next breath.
Years later now, I am still raw, untrained, untaught, without any plan, intention, or agenda as far as the ways of this world, and even churches and other ministries are concerned. I simply live each day, step by step, breath by breath, led as best I am able to yield myself to Him, by the Spirit of God as He uses this little vessel that I am who overflows with His love and gracious mercy to bear the fruit of proclaiming Christ to this perishing world, with the unceasing desire to help people not merely to believe in Jesus Christ, but to renew their minds with study of God’s Word and be transformed by the Spirit of God as the Lord God almighty through Jesus Christ prepares believers in Jesus for eternity with Him. Oh, the joy of loving God! The joy of helping others to do the same! The joy of being an evangelist!
Please note that in accordance with the Bible, as a woman I am not called to be in a role of authority and leadership over men. As an evangelist who preaches in the written and spoken word, I simply proclaim and publish the Gospel message and love and encourage people to follow Christ, ever desiring to help people see we must repent of our sins, place our trust in Christ and turn to God and learn to live according to His ways, being willing to forsake all to follow Jesus. While men have at times been in places where I have had the opportunity to preach, and while on a regular basis I have had opportunities to distribute my tracts, devotionals, and books to men, and/or to encourage them to believe in and follow Christ, particularly as I am privileged to minister to the homeless population and to send my writing regularly to men on death row and occasionally to prisoners elsewhere, who occasionally send letters, I believe they need to be shepherded by the Lord Jesus Christ and taught and encouraged and loved and prayed for by men of faith walking alongside them. And I am happy and blessed to encourage them to make sure they are spending time first and foremost with the Lord in His Word and also with male followers of Christ who can help disciple them.
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” Isaiah 6:8 KJV
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!” Isaiah 52:7 KJV
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:13-17 KJV
