“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” Titus 2:13-14 KJV Are you peculiar? You should be. You probably think you shouldn’t be. But God doesn’t want you to look, and sound, and talk, and walk, and live like the world around you. He wants you to look like Him.As you study the Bible and apply it to your life as a follower of Jesus Christ, you will look peculiar to the world. You will look strange. You will look different. You will stand out from the crowd. The world might criticize and judge you for this. The world might hate and reject and persecute you for this. But do not look to the world to be your mirror.Look to your Father in heaven. And know that your beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. Let your beholder be Him. Someone once told me the Lord will equip me to do what He’s called me to do. As founder and director of Walk by Faith Ministry, with the mission to share the Gospel while ministering the Lord’s love to a world in need, my hands and heart are constantly overflowing with love – and work. With the five-fold job of praying, preaching, writing/publishing, distributing the Lord’s provisions to people in need, and providing sanctuary-style care for 18 formerly homeless dogs with special needs, coupled with a most-of-the-time shoestrings budget, no staff and virtually no volunteers, imagine my challenge as a prolific writer with the desire to get books into print as quickly – and professionally – as possible. Challenging? Now that’s an understatement! But the Lord truly does supply all my need (Phil. 4:19), the Bible), and He recently provided me with the most astonishingly, wonderful, simple, straightforward, and easy-as-can-be solution to my publishing needs. Now picture this. I write books typically in a matter of weeks. I try to get them published and distributed as quickly as possible. The challenge? The layout, design, and printing without the budget to do so, and without the desire to wait for a professional to become available even if I had the budget for one.Leave it to the Lord to use the Internet to put me in touch with the absolutely perfect answer. The answer? I could not have even dreamed this one up myself. Joel Friedlander, a professional book designer with an awesome reputation, teamed up with author and technical expert Tracy Atkins, with the dream answer. A book template system for people who use Microsoft Word that is so professional that I could have hired a book designer to put together my book.Yet the instructions that come with the system are so simple, the template is so easy to use, and the results are so professional that my ministry and I saved boatloads of time and money with a perfectly professional result. As if this were not the best part of all, it gets better than this. The template can be used over and again – for years to come. So I can write as quickly as I want, publish as quickly as I desire, and continue to end up with the professional results I seek. And the very, very best of all? I found this template system AFTER I had already written my book manuscript in Microsoft Word. So I could simply use the template to get the book ready for publishing. That’s great, but I wanted more than this. I wanted a template that with future books I could use by writing directly into the template and not have to do anything significant upon completion of my manuscript. In other words, you guessed it. I wanted something even simpler than simple. And that it is! The only missing piece for me in my research online to see if this book template package was legitimate and really good was this. I read preview after preview, but I could not find any reviews from people who had actually used the system. And if anyone else out there is like me, I want to know ahead of time if something is high quality and worth the investment.I also want to know ahead of time if someone like myself, who has limited technical skills and does not have the time to do any significant studying and learning of something new in the technical area, will be able to figure out how to use something before I decide whether to try it. Suffice it to say my entire book was written, edited, laid out, and published in a matter of weeks! The layout process involving the template took virtually no time at all, and I received superior customer support with the few questions I had.I want to close by saying that I was not asked to write this review. I actually asked if I could write this review, because I wanted others to know – particularly ministries, churches, non-profit organizations, and individuals and businesses on a significant budget – that this could be the ideal answer for anyone looking for the most affordable, time-effective, simple, easy, and professional way to turn a book manuscript into a published work. Though I have never met them or spoken to them, and perhaps never will, I truly cannot thank Joel Friedlander and Tracy Atkins enough for how their work has blessed my ministry and myself. In the meantime, most importantly of all, I thank God not only for calling me into this full-time ministry work but also for equipping me to do it – including through blessings like the one provided through Joel Friedlander and Tracy Atkins. What is it with us humans that we tend to make such a big deal about our sacrifices? Four of Walk by Faith Ministry’s very special formerly homeless doggies have been making a mighty big sacrifice these past few days amid the 100 degree weather with a heat index of 105.Mr. Shnookles got a haircut to help him out in the heat….!Despite their brand new air conditioner in their very own building with their very own fenced yard full of fun and adventure, funny-looking Mr. Shnookles, three-legged Traveler, Esther the hunting dog, and Abigail the wannabe lab-mix bird dog are “sweating it out”. If you’re wondering why I won’t put my little finger on the ON button and get the new AC running, I can give you the answer in one single word. Sacrifice.Angel taking a break from her nest. The doggies are sacrificing their comfort right now because of one of Walk by Faith Ministry’s newest additions – Miss Angel. Miss Angel? Yep. You heard me. And she doesn’t have four legs, or three, or two, nor does she have a wagging tail. Miss Angel is the BIRD who had the audacity to MOVE IN to the doggie building with her NEST and her EGGS. Every day without fail, she flies in and out of the window to sit upon her little eggs in the nest that she built in the corner of a SHEET I had used for extra insulation.Angel is so accustomed to the dogs now, and so accustomed to my visits to the doggie building, that she perches comfortably on her little eggs and peers at me with her little eyes when I step up on a chair to peek inside her nest to see if she is “at home”. She seems to have a daily schedule, and believe it or not returns on time pretty much every night for my final visit of the day to say goodnight to everybody.Angel’s nest – and eggs! How four dogs, including a hunting dog and a wannabe bird dog, are that gracious to this bird and her family-to-be is beyond me. Not only are they gracious. They are sacrificing their comfort. For if I were to shut the window to turn on the AC, guess what. Yep. Angel would crash into the window, and babies-to-be could lose their mommie.Do you know what strikes me about their sacrifice. In the grand scheme of things, as we all know, the dogs are not really aware of their sacrifice. They might be aware of the heat, but they’re probably not aware of the bigger picture. But that’s just it. The dogs are PERFECTLY happy despite what they are giving up.Whereas we humans tend to focus on what we are sacrificing instead of fully enjoying our day-to-day lives. I don’t know about anyone else, but when I give something up I tend to feel the loss. I tend to focus – at least a bit, if not a lot – on what I no longer have. Of what I had to give up. Of how I no longer have whatever it is. Poor me, poor me!The dogs? They are perfectly content. They don’t concern themselves with what they don’t have. They are happy and joyful for what they do have. The more I have learned to focus on being thankful for what I have rather than whining over what I have not, the more blessed I have realized I am. And the more I have learned to enjoy my day-to-day life.p.s. If you’re a dog lover and are concerned about the heat, rest assured the doggie – and bird – building is equipped with plenty of shade, an industrial fan, and plenty of drinking water – not to mention LOVE!Please visit Walk by Faith Ministry at https://www.walkbyfaithministry.com.

I love Sundays for two very simple reasons. And if you think it’s because I go to a church on Sundays to praise and worship, hear preaching, hug my buddies, pay my tithes, and get to hang out with my brothers and sisters in Christ, you’re wrong. In fact, I don’t go to church on Sundays at all. How’s that for shocking for the founder and director of Walk by Faith Ministry who dedicates her heart and life to the Lord seven days a week? So guess why I love Sundays. Ready for the two reasons?First, I take Sunday as a Sabbath Day. I try to stay off the Internet until night-time, I stay off the phone until night-time except if something super important comes up, and I spend plenty of time with the Lord, resting, relaxing, reading, sleeping, and sitting in the sun. Now that’s pretty much of a miracle for someone who rarely slows down. On Sundays, I slow down. It wasn’t easy when I first started. In fact, I hated it. Now I love my Sundays in part because I truly take them as a day of rest. Ready for the second reason why I love Sundays? I’ve already told you I don’t go to church, not in the traditional sense of what humans often think of as church anyway. See, I am not a member of a church. I’ve yet to find in the Bible where it says I’m supposed to be a member of a “four walled” building. But I’m clearly a member of the Church – the Body of Christ. As a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, I make sure I am fully immersed in Christ’s Body. I simply do not go to a church building to do this. In fact, what I do is as close as I’ve ever seen to “church” in the Book of Acts in the Bible. Every Sunday, I head off to Savannah, GA, to join with a group of pastors, ministers, and just about anyone and everyone as a man called Samuel from People Helping People heads up a gathering, or outreach, for the homeless, the low-income, the needy, the desperate, the hopeless, the lost, the forgotten, the abandoned, the rejected, the hurting, the drunk, the addicted, the broken, the suicidal, the wandering, the searching, the seeking, the bruised, the battered, well, you get the picture. Though not everyone serving is a follower of Jesus Christ, many of us gather there in the name of Jesus Christ to love and serve a world in need. There is preaching, food, clothing distribution, plenty of love and hugs, praying, ministering one-on-one to people, laughing, crying, sharing, catching up since the last week, and, yes, tough love, too. There is grieving when we learn someone has passed away, there is celebration when a homeless person gets a job or a home, there is a kick in the butt sometimes when someone needs to get off his or her butt, there is fellowship among the pastors and ministers from different churches and ministries, there are challenges, there are sometimes divisions, there is healing among us, the list goes on. Let me tell you something. By the standards of the traditions of men, I am a failure in the sense I don’t hold “membership” at an ordinary church. Isn’t that something? I don’t fit the world’s standards, yet I do my very best to do as the Lord teaches in His Bible. The Bible is clear about Christian fellowship, and I am blessed each Saturday night to head up the brand new Walk by Faith Fellowship – a small, but strong, new group of pastors, ministers, people from the general public, anyone at all, who gather together in the name of Jesus Christ at a Wendy’s fast food restaurant for preaching, teaching, praise, prayer, fellowship, and anything the Lord leads us to do as best we are able to discern His will and follow Him. Though I don’t meet the religious standards set by men, I follow Jesus Christ and the Bible. I simply do not park my butt in a church pew every Sunday in a church building. I go outside the human church walls to meet with the Body of Jesus Christ to do what we are called to do in the world around us. Why do I love Sundays? Because I get to do exactly what the Lord teaches in the Bible. I get to love the Lord with all my heart, and I get to love my neighbor as myself. I get to to out and preach the Gospel and demonstrate God’s love to a world in need. Please visit Walk by Faith Ministry at https://www.walkbyfaithministry.com.
Whose your daddy? No, I’m not asking you about the dad you’re probably thinking of. I’m not asking you about your earthly dad. I’m not asking about the man who may or may not have been a good father to you. I’m not asking if he’s alive, or has passed on. I’m not asking if he was, or is, loving – or abusive. Or both. I’m not asking about a human at all. I’m asking you this. Is God your Father? And if God is your Father, what exactly do you plan to do on Father’s Day to honor your Father? As countless people this Sunday spend their time loving their earthly fathers, or grieving over the losses and tragedies of their earthly dads, or missing the fact they never had one, or wishing their fathers were alive for one more Father’s Day, or enjoying their first Father’s Day as a new dad, or praying for their prodigal sons to come home, I want to encourage you to set your eyes and hearts on God in heaven to truly honor the Father of all Creation. The best Father ever. God. Please visit Walk by Faith Ministry at https://www.walkbyfaithministry.com.
“They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him,being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.” – Titus 1:16 NASB Has anyone ever asked you if you “know God”, or if you “know Jesus”? Perhaps you were quick to answer. Of course you know God, right? You even love Him, right? Perhaps you professed your faith in Jesus as Lord at a church service years ago. Or maybe you go to church on Sundays. Perhaps you spend time every morning reading devotionals. Or maybe you pray every night before you go to bed. But the Bible says it is possible to profess to know God while denying Him in your actions. It is possible to be caught up in “religious activities” without actually being caught up in a personal relationship with the Lord. Jesus says those who love Him believe in Him and obey Him. Do you? BIBLE TAKEOUT, Walk by Faith Ministry’s newest addition, is a brand new, short, sweet, and easy-to-understand teaching of God’s Word for people on the go….”For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts;…” 2 Tim. 4:3Someone once said the Bible is not a smorgasbord. It is not designed to take what you want and leave the rest. The Bible is God’s Truth, the whole Truth, and nothing but the Truth.People with “itching ears” pick and choose what they take from the Bible, if they study the Bible at all. People with “itching ears” find false teachers who support their choices that are not in agreement with God and the Bible. People with “itching ears” make their lusts a higher priority than God.If you have “itching ears”, you need to stop listening to and following the world and give your full attention to God through faith in Jesus Christ and study and application of the Bible.Your life will never be the same. Please feel free to call me at 843-338-2219 or e-mail me at email@example.com if you would like prayer and encouragement. “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33 NASBIf anybody told you becoming a follower of Jesus Christ would be a rose garden, don’t plan on becoming a florist. Jesus NEVER promises an easy, happy, trouble-free life. In fact, He promises you will face trials and tribulations. BUT He says you can find PEACE in Him and the fact He has overcome this world. Remember, EVERYONE has trials and tribulations throughout life. But followers of Jesus Christ get to go through life WITH HIM and the assurance of eternal life in heaven. By studying and applying the Bible to your life, you can live a life filled with love, joy, peace, hope, and faith despite what challenges you might face along your journey.
